MiniLuxe, the Boston-based nail and beauty care chain, opened its first Dallas store – and has 9 more North Texas locations planned. Its new store is located in the West Village shopping center, in the Uptown neighborhood. The salon offers nail, brow, waxing and lash services,

MiniLuxe is known for its ‘common sense’ practices, which it says the nail industry lacks. The company is committed to eliminating or drastically reducing the use of toxic chemicals, redefining and elevating hygiene, and improving client service standards and labor practices.

Germaphobes, take note: MiniLuxe is known for its innovative, high-tech “Clean Lab,” which is in every one of its locations. Ultrasonic debris removal and hospital-grade level sterilization techniques are used to clean metal tools. All non-metal components, such as nail files and buffers, are offered to the client or disposed after each use. Also, MiniLuxe technicians never “double-dip” when it comes to waxing. Plus, specially designed jet-free pedicure tubs ensure foot-soaking water is never recirculated.

“MiniLuxe is a very unique consumer brand transforming the nail care and waxing industry through its celebration of self-care and commitment to unprecedented hygiene practices,” said MiniLuxe CEO and native Texan Sue Thirlwall. “We are thrilled to make Dallas—one of the most vibrant and dynamic cities in the country—the second market in the nation to experience this exciting retail concept.”

Miniluxe uses its own private label nail polish brand in its salons. Founded in 2007, MiniLuxe operates eight stores in the Boston area, and is funded by the same investior group as Chipotle, Silverado Interests.
